Using local foods to spur economic opportunities is a key element
of the TRIC's strategy

LOCAL FOODS

The TRIC's newly renovated shared use kitchen can be used by regional entrepreneurs to prepare foods for retail or restaurant sales. The kitchen is available for cooking classes and gourmet hobbyists can create foods for their own use

The kitchen features an Italian-made La Monferrina pasta machine, described as a complete workshop for pasta, “tailor-made” for meeting all the production needs, suitable to produce all kinds of short and long shapes of extruded pasta, by simply changing the extruding die.

A partnership has been mobilized to utilize local foods as an economic generator and to provide resources to those most in need.

The TRIC board of directors has created relationships with several statewide and regional partners to advance its rural community development initiatives.
